Curriculum Development Initiatives
Curriculum development initiatives at the CPST are an instructional
module series and six courses. The modules are designed to provide an
overview of various aspects of particle science and technology. Accompanying
textbooks can be used as supplemental aids in regular courses. Three courses
are the initial core courses designed for PS&T:
- Particle Science and Technology: Theory and Practice; taught by Dr.
B. Moudgil, Dr. H. El-Shall, and Dr. R. Klimpel.
- Particulate Interfacial Systems Science and Engineering; taught by
Dr. D. Shah and Dr. B. Moudgil.
- Optimization, Scale-up and Statistical Design; taught by Dr. H. El-Shall.
The following additional courses focus on a variety of specific PS&T topics:
- Physics of Colloids; taught by Dr. R. Rajagopalan.
- Biomemetics and Biomineralization; taught by Dr. L. Gower.
- Numerical Simulation for Particle Dynamics; taught by Dr. O. Walton
